APEGA CPD deadlines: your due date by renewal month

Last reviewed: October 16, 2026 · Dates from APEGA’s Continuing Professional Development page and APEGA’s September 2026 notice on CPD enforcement

Independent guide. PaceTracker is not affiliated with APEGA and this page is not myAPEGA. Your own dates are the ones on your myAPEGA dashboard: always rely on those.

The short answer. Your APEGA CPD is due on the last day before your annual renewal date. By then you complete the mandatory learning modules assigned in myAPEGA and the PACE declaration, which opens two months before your renewal date. Enforcement starts with renewals on or after November 1, 2026. APEGA’s CPD page states that there are no extensions for these annual requirements.

01 Dates by renewal month

Find your renewal month in the first column; the second column is your due date. The CPD period is the year that ends on that date, and the declaration window is its last two months.

Source: the table published on APEGA’s Continuing Professional Development page, read on October 16, 2026. September and October renewals start in 2026 because their first renewal after the standard took effect on November 1, 2025 falls in 2026.

02 Where to find your own dates in myAPEGA

APEGA directs registrants to their myAPEGA dashboard for their CPD completion deadlines. The assigned learning modules are under CPD Requirements, which APEGA’s FAQ says you reach from the CPD drop-down menu. The PACE declaration appears in myAPEGA only once the window opens, two months before your renewal date.

Your PACE plan itself is not uploaded to myAPEGA. It stays in your own records, together with the supporting documents, and you provide it only if the Practice Review Board or APEGA staff ask for it.

03 What to do in the last two months

  1. Check your due date and the list of assigned modules on your myAPEGA dashboard.
  2. Finish the modules. APEGA’s September 2026 notice estimates about 6 to 8 hours in total; they do not count toward the two-activity minimum of your PACE plan.
  3. Review your PACE plan: at least one Technical activity and one from another category, each with a written explanation and supporting evidence.
  4. Sign and date the plan, and file it with the evidence.
  5. Complete the declaration in myAPEGA before the due date.

If your plan is still empty, the completed PACE plan example shows what each section looks like when it is filled in.

04 If you miss the date

According to APEGA’s September 2026 notice, a CPD period whose modules and PACE declaration are not completed by the renewal date is marked as “non-compliant” in the registrant’s registration history. For the wider consequences as the standard describes them, see our guide to the CPD review.

— Quick answers

When is my APEGA CPD due?

On the last day before your annual renewal date. For a November renewal that is October 31, 2026; for a December renewal, November 30, 2026; for a January renewal, December 31, 2026. Your exact date is on your myAPEGA dashboard.

When can I complete the PACE declaration?

The declaration becomes available in myAPEGA two months before your renewal date and must be completed by your due date. For a January renewal, it opens on November 1, 2026.

Can I get an extension for APEGA CPD?

APEGA’s CPD page states that there are no extensions for these annual requirements. Registrants who live in another Canadian province and report CPD to their home regulator can request an exception in myAPEGA; eligibility is decided by APEGA.

How long do the myAPEGA learning modules take?

APEGA’s September 2026 notice estimates about 6 to 8 hours in total. The modules are assigned at the start of each CPD period and have to be completed every year, even if you took them before.

Do I submit my PACE plan to APEGA?

No. You declare in myAPEGA that you created and followed a PACE plan. The plan and its evidence stay in your records and are provided only if APEGA requests them.
